He is scheduled for surgery after a complete tear of his ulnar collateral ligament. No wonder he could FEEL the ball with that severe trauma...Best of luck to him a he hasn't had much recently.

Damn bad luck

No dog in the fight, but was looking for a good game, Purdy going out killed those chances. Josh Johnson a career 3rd stringer with a 1-8 record as a starter at 70 passer rating is beating anyone and he even went out.

Purdy has great poise and leadership. I hope he comes back stronger than ever.

I was shocked that they put Purdy back in after Johnson got a concussion. I thought that Shanahan made a bad decision. McCaffery could have played QB and they could have run the option play. Both McCaffery and Deebo are capable of running the option. With the score 21-7, Shanahan gave up and just ran the ball. If they score on that drive, it's 21-14. I realize that it was a longshot, but Shanahan just gave up.

Tim Tebow got the Broncos to the playoffs and beat the Steelers and he basically ran the option the whole game. You just can't hand the ball off every play. And, by having Purdy on the field, he was a wasted player. They were basically playing with 10 players because with his injury, all he could do was hand the ball off. If they had McCaffery as QB, they have 11 offensive players.
