My question , which is FURTHER (race 5 GP 1-15) about one mile or one mile

Not including run-up (and please lets not go down that rabbit hole), a race using "About" is further as compared to a race specifically at the same distance. Using your example "About One Mile" is a longer distance than "One Mile."
