The last time there were this many troops in Washington DC was probably 1864.

Contrary to what the media reports the majority of the military is not happy with Biden/Kamamalalalalala partnership. That being said they will continue to follow the CICs orders.
The worry is that the great war machine is back in action.
God help their souls.

They should all just walk and quit. It's a volunteer army, is it not?

That's not the way it works. Have you ever heard of "stop loss?"

Imagine if Trump set something like this up? The Demos would be screaming for impeachment one second after taking the oath.

Trump is still POTUS.
Biden has no power to set this up...so don't blame Biden.

Isn't only President Trump, the CIC, who can call in the military, as is being shown?

The volunteers sign a contract which states a minimum and a maximum term of service. Although a member of the U.S. military can normally leave after serving the minimum the military can keep them for the maximum. When they do it is called "stop loss." The military has used stop loss several times since the voluntary military system was created after Vietnam. E.g., during the Persian Gulf War.

No, I'm not blaming Biden. If Trump had won re-election, he would have had the power to call in the military in a similar way, for whatever reason.
So then, only Trump could set this up with the military now. Something must be in the works, other than inauguration safety.

Thank you, Actor. I didn't realize term "contracts" were required for voluntary service.

On Wednesday at noon EST Biden will be POTUS regardless of whether any ceremony takes place. At that instant the military takes orders from Biden.

No. Even though the Constitution requires that the new president take an oath SCOTUS has declared that this is not absolutely necessary.

I think it’s too early to assume Biden reaches that low on the totem pole. I certainly believe he will get there but it’s too soon to make your bold claim.

Great example of judicial activism (a/k/a judicial tyranny). I didn't know 9 unelected, unaccountable black robes were the law of the land. I thought the Constitution was.

You didn't detect the sarcasm? (In case you're still slow on the uptake that was a rhetorical question.)
A three-in-one court system: Nine black robes interpret, apply and often make the laws they're interpreting and applying.
The Founding Fathers could have save a lot of time and ink by simply writing that the Supreme Court is the law of the land.

Looks much like the parade they just had in N Korea.
And Moscow on May 5th.
And Tiananmen Square.
All summer we heard there was no place for Nat Guard on our streets, and here we are now.....more troops here than in Iraq. But then, current IRAQI government is probably of much higher quality and honor than the Biden crew coming in.....
