Apparently you like what the game has evolved into: an endless parade of strikeouts, walks, foul balls, pitching changes and the occasional home run. It all can be traced to the obsession with velocity.
As for any perceived delays, pitchers would adapt quickly. No need to go 100% all out, every pitch. And that would cut down on the arm injuries as well. The game needs more action, and that involves more batted balls in play.
If a guy like Greg Maddux was coming up now, he may never have gotten a full chance as he could never hit 95 on the gun.
