That says that Reagan took administrative action by having his A.G. draft a bill and submit it to Congress for their approval. That is quite different from taking administrative action by signing an executive order as Obama just did. Proposing a bill is something Candidate Obama promised to do in 2008 and hasn't gotten around to yet.

there was no executive order and notice how Reagan worked WITH congress on legislation without insulting them. Amazing. And it was all done lawfully!
We've come along way when the president just starts rewriting the laws on his own.

There was a deal between Reagan and the dems.
Of course, being the lowlife liar that he was, Ted Kennedy reneged on it after he got what he wanted.

The dems keep forgetting that part of it.

And, l as recently as SUNDAY, Obama said he did have the power to do this.

I moved here to get the hell away from the socialist movements in other States. I have lived in several states. Texas is great. It would take one hell of an opportunity to get me to leave. In Texas we still have our rights. We pay no State Tax and we believe in American values. That's good enough for me.
