Nancy Pelosi threatened Vice President Pence to invoke amendment 25 to remove Trump or else they are going to start impeachment proceedings. Pence kept her on hold for 25 minutes before taking her call and then said no. Schumer is all on board .....



Don't they have any other important things to do? or is this the most important thing now to save the world from Trump.

I'm hearing the Republicans are trying to force the Democrats to impeach and Biden don't want it.

It would be hard to do, wouldn't it? All summer we were reminded that the right to protest was our country's most sacred right guaranteed by the constitution. Trump did not order anyone to destroy anything. Ok the peaceful protest turned violent. That's been happening all summer but was any leader of BLM arrested? When that happens they say " oh those are not BLM social injusticers, they are just radicals and criminals that latch on to the protests. BLM is as pure as the driven snow."

I feel worse about what happened in june to the destruction of the NYC Macys, which still hasn't reopened, than what happened at the Capitol the other day.

Impeachment is the proper choice of the two. The 25th Amendment option is a precedent you don't even want to set, not in this kind of an instants. Settle his presidential ass down, make it clear that he must immediately shut his braindead pie hole, and if you want to spend the next 2 weeks impeaching for inciting a violent attack on the capital, knock yourself out. The Congress was going to recess until the inauguration anyhow. If crack case Pelosi wants to hang around Washington instead of enjoying a couple weeks off, let her play politics. She literally hates his guts. The fact she called for enacting the 25th proves she's playing politics. She knows damn well the 25th is inappropriate in this case, but now she can say the GOP wouldn't do anything, but look at me, protecting the flag and San Francisco and whatever the hell it is that lady stands for.

In all seriousness, I hope Biden rises above it and lets it pass. He's come out and said a couple things in support of steps the Dems are taking, but I really hope he lays back. Trump is either going to leave the country in a couple weeks, or hole up in FLA. Let the attorney general of New York do your dirty work. They're gnawing at the bit to come after him as it is.

Well nothing is going to unite the country, you will NEVER get people to accept socialist. Programs have a life of their own, it is virtually impossible to fund socialism and what many people will never hear about. In a nutshell we are committed to programs that no party can get out of and the price tag leaves nothing, Covid-19 was something we could not afford.

The Constitution clearly states president and not former president. Although Trump won't be convicted, this Senate trial would get shot down by the Supreme Court if he was. No one is above the law, including Congress. What this means is that ANY person could be tried and that they wouldn't ever be allowed to run for the presidency.

The purpose of impeaching Trump is the ultimate cancel.
Should the impeachment be successful Trump would lose all federal benefits including secret service protection, making him and his family sitting ducks.
An impeached Trump is a dead Trump.

POTUS will be fine. There are many that will offer themselves to protect him. They are just as well-trained if not better than the secret service.

And definitely not true if he is impeached and convicted AFTER Jan 20. It has to be before Jan 20.

Even if he were convicted by next week (which I think would be fairly impossible), he still doesn't lose SS protection.

Also, a conviction in the Senate does not mean he can't run again.

The Senate would have to take a separate vote for that to happen.

I've heard no one from the right doing bail drives for anyone arrested for their actions on the 6th. No prosecutor refusing to or out right dismissing charges as we seen all year long by the left. The hypocrisy and bullshit from the left is... well nothing new. But the levels hit a new high.

The Supreme Court has a track record of chicken shitness in Political matters and make no mistake about it... this is impeachment just as the last one is all political.
