FINAL DAY WRAP-UP

It was still anybody's game heading into the final day of play.

Starlett had the all important loose lead and heald on for the "big score"! Well done Starlett! You had an outstanding contest! Congrats! :jump:

Yours truly, Jay Trotter, made a bold late move to try and catch the leader hitting two Wins to go (2) $78.00 and come within a few dollars of the lead only to come up short on a Place play with an odds on favorite in a short field! (Note to players: I am not eligible to win the prizes but I did want the title)

Turfway Ed never really threatened the leader but did manage to move up into 2nd on his final play of the contest! Solid effort! :jump:

illinoisbred looked like he might be full of run late hitting a $9.20 winner but he aggressively made two more win plays and fell short! Solid try!

FunkyMonkey got his parlay up to (11) $27.40 with an opening play but finally hit the wall! The threat was there but not to be!

davefulche was set up for a late drive as well heading into the day with a live parlay of (1) $35.50 but fired a donut on the final day!

The Digger barn had the most interesting day and look for the trainer to find a new rider next time out! Digger found himself three winners who paid enough to give him the contest win -- he did go (3) $63.50 on the final day; but unwisely chose to go with Place and Show plays for the final two races! A miscalculation which cost him dearly!:bang:

Congrats to the top 3 and to the folks running the contest...looking forward to the next one.

A note on the final scoresheet...noticed at least 2 players without the required 30 plays still listed among those who met the requirement...doesn't really matter but figured I would point that out...thanks again for your fine work.
