Why would he, when your born often your family's household positions stay with you until you die. A very small percentage rebel then switch to different, religion, politics, what have you. As a kid I was browbeaten into liberal positions and when I start voting which I should choose. A number of family aunts and so on got jobs from political connections. Someone at the end of the runway in life has little reason to change.
