I know financially that would be a disaster, BUT crowding into stadiums like that with screaming (many drunk) fans? A recipe for disaster

Don't think they were planning for much fans anyways this season. It was whether to proceed with the season to keep the TV money coming in. This is why they cancelled preseason and all the international games,but kept the regular season games as planned.

So I guess we'll have 2 national champions. One for the fall, one for the spring

I don't know if they will follow suit but they may be subject to a lawsuit if one of the players sneeze. The decision to postpone the Big 10 and Pac 12 games was driven by fear of liability.

I suspect NFL will follow MLB and play for television with no one in stands on a shortened schedule.
