Government shutdown

So Trump has shut down the government.

My Social Security check is due next Wednesday. I wonder if I will get it?

Just the non-essentials (roughly 28%) and Trump is going to keep it shut until the dims cave.

If they are still shut after a few months, Trump will decide the 'non-essentials' are not really needed.

You will get your check Actor.

What’s ironic about these shut downs is each time it becomes more obvious we don’t need these non essentials

They won't cave.Unless they get goodies in return.

Occasional Cortex says legislators should not get paid during shutdown ... do they even work or are they considered 'non-essentials' ?

Please, do not give her credit just yet. She isn't in Congress at the moment. When she gets there and she doesn't get her first check she will be singing a different tune.

How did he shut down the government? He did not veto any legislation. Congress did not do their job, again.

chadk66 12-23-2018 06:49 PM

Trump should tell them for every day it's closed his wall money goes up another Billion a day

As if you didn't know the answer to this question before you asked it...

No, your check isn't coming. It will never come again. Evil Trump is taking all your money.

The government operates at a deficit. Stay shutdown. We save money.

Tom 12-23-2018 08:25 PM

Is Mueller shut down?

thaskalos 12-23-2018 08:29 PM

I am in the midst of an IRS investigation. Does this government shutdown mean that I get a reprieve?
