Sorry there was a programming error (I mentioned on the last thread that I noticed trying to explain what made up the fast fig) so any of the older ones will come out with different numbers.
more accurate and most likely "tighter" on a scale.

Fight
While the 2 does have a 6 point edge in the FaST #'s, He is 7 points behind on the dirt #'s (using TSN files). That's when I have to either dig deeper or pass the race. I could also make a case for Doug's choice. If he is 8-1 or better at PT. Within his last few starts, he has matched or exceeded PAR for final time @ today's distance and class level. The only horse in the race that has done so. He also is 2 of 4 at this track, and 4 of 10 at this distance. Plus, has the best TOTAL pace rating. ALL of this is what makes this game so complicated.
See my other post for what I will probably play. If the #1 is 8-1 or better @ PT, it could alter my bet.
Good Luck.:)

I used the BRIS single file DRF in the Version 7 of the program for todays 8th.
if you are doing exactly that and getting different numbers then that is very odd?

Looks like a rounding issue to me. Could be that different CPUs yield slightly different results?? Or maybe the O/S?

Maybe,I suppose it could round differently.
Fight, did you try downloading it over again to the same place as the older one and executing it, that should overwrite the old one, just top be sure ???

The Morning Line is still in there (far right), the other one was Last Race Odds, thats gone, and the days off...
So ... I can oput the days off back in and still have it fit, I think.
I will try it soon

Pcon, try downloading it again, see if yours comes out like fights'
This is the oddest thing (of course I have never written a program before) so maybe not so strange to someone who knows VB6, maybe it is just Rounding differently?
I can put the decimal in, in Version 7.1 when I put the Days Since Last Raced BACK into the summary ;)

BTW- hint, when you print like I do to the free Bullzip PDF printer from the internet browser, since the report is in HTML
http://www.bullzip.com/products/pdf/info.php#download
Be sure to go to...
Tools->Internet Options->Advanced, scroll to PRINTING
checkbox, "Print background Images and Colors"
Even if you are printing to a "real" printer.
Also this is a great PDF tool for "Marking Up the PDF"
http://www.docu-track.com/downloads/users/
Get the free pdfXchange viewer.

I have found that the FAST numbers are a great way to narrow down the field. I believe it was Dick Schmidt that suggested half the field plus one for your contenders. If your field is 8 horses your contenders would be half the field = 4 + 1 = 5. The top 5 (or whatever the field + 1 is) FAST numbers are going to have the winner in there quite often if not most of the time. I don't have the exact % of the time though. It cuts down on your handicapping time.
