I completely agree with this article. The abolish ICE movement is going to be used by Trump effectively over the next few years, and the Democrats will double down and push harder anyway because they hate Trump that much.

As the article states, even the great liberal hero Bernie Sanders is hesistant to abolish ICE because he knows they cannot win on this topic.

We will get 8 years of Trump thanks to this!

Most interesting article and position. Makes a lot of sense.

As the two sides get farther apart, both must be careful to not become so radical as to alienate the less-than-extreme from their own parties.

With the country so evenly divided, I would guess that the moderates will determine the final outcomes.

It's working already. I think even people who support illegal immigration know the anti-ICE movement is bad for them.

A big reason Trump was voted in was to fight illegal immigration, so that ain't a waste. And he will use this topic again in 2020 effectively.

Completely moronic move on the part of Dems - snatched defeat from the jaws of victory (weren't happy just underscoring the incompetence/lack of planning related to Trump's zero tolerance policy).

All those things were and are a lot more than talking points. They're actual Trump admin orders, efforts, and actions.
