While REv Al & Co., head down to Flahrida for a MASSIVE rally tonight, I was struck by a couple of media moments. This morning Joe Scarbrow struggled to call the kid a 'boy' - Explaining in depth how difficult it is for a white man to call a young black man, boy. Secondly, Tamroon Hall prefaced her comments with 'Just keepin' it real' and then went into a jag about how white people were probably surprised to see pictures of the kid skiing, because white people don't figure black people as skiers.

You can't make this shit up. Stereotypes run amok. :eek:

More details about the encounter between Zimmerman and Martin.

Based upon pictures in the press, I thought Zimmerman(5ft 9) was bigger than Martin(6ft 160lbs).

And you were correct based upon your impression of pictures in the press. Zimmerman is even less familiar with 160lbs than he is with the limits of heading a neighborhood watch.

I agree with your weight assessment of Zimmerman. Can't find a full length picture of him to determine if he's husky or fat. Either way, I wonder how he could have run down a lean 17 yr old.
