PLAYOFF STRUCTURE
8. PLAYOFFS
· Total number of Playoff Teams will be based on Final Entries (43 Teams)
·Top 24 Regular Season Teams will Qualify for the Playoffs.
· Top 6 Regular Season Teams will receive a bye into the Semi-Finals.
· Places 7 to 24 will play Quarter-Finals (18 Teams).
· Top 8 Quarter-Final Teams & 6 Bye Teams advance to Semi-Finals (14 Teams).
· Semi-Finals will have 14 Teams with 7 Teams advancing.
· The two-days Final will consist of the top 7 teams.

Those who don't like many different tracks on the schedule should finally be happy with Round 1 of the Playoffs...only THREE tracks in total this week...
This playoff card is also chock full of turf races and a couple of Polytrack races from Keeneland...only two traditional main track races grace this week's card and there are only two sprint races (one of them on the grass).
Sometimes you simply have to play the hand you're dealt, and that goes double for the schedule maker (me), who was trying his best to find suitable main track races, but quickly discovered that even I can't draw blood from a stone... :lol:

Hopefully, the rainy weather will hold off and the tracks can get the Turf races in.

At the time I was making the card, I looked at all weather forecasts and did not choose any turf races where there was a significant chance of rain...so, hopefully, the Weather Channel proves accurate enough in their two day out forecasts... :lol: |
