What have you done to rectify all the issues this is going to bring?

If any.....

If you're using BRIS pp's and/or data files you may be out of luck.
I emailed them about this very issue and their response was that this meet is "technically a new track" and that normal Aqu data would not be "pulled into this field because it is being considered a separate event".

It's only considered a new track because they are treating it as such.
I don't recall them doing this when DelMar hosted the Breeders Cup, which was a separate event as well.
It's ridiculous.

EDIT: I noticed that DRF is calling this meet BAQ but is still including a horse's record at Aqu in their pp's

And the folks at Bris are considered to be technically morons. :lol:

But not as big morons as the moron at NYRA that made this stupid decision,AND his boss, for not firing him.
From now on, and for years to come, the track record starts/wps data in Bris PPs is it totally useless.

Nice to know that blithering idiots can always find work in the racing industry.

I can handle this programmatically but shouldn't have to. Aqueduct is AQU and Belmont is BEL. No consideration was given to the data people in horse racing. None.

1. As with Equibase, Belmont At The Big A and Aqueduct meet statistics are combined for calculating at-the-track statistics and previous meet statistics.

2. As with Equibase, all track records set on the Aqueduct racing surface at the Belmont at the Big A meet are carried as Aqueduct track records.

3. We gave each vendor that we deal with the option of receiving BAQ or AQU in data files and file names. (All but one chose AQU for the track code in the data files). Vendors can then display Belmont at the Big A in their products if they choose. That is not our decision.

A lot of time and work for a loy of people for absolutely no good reason.
Not sure if it is related, but the DRF Enhanced Entries for Aqu or Baq, or whoever the Hell they think they today, are all screwed up, missing data, no Beyers, for today and tomorrow. Other tracks are just fine.

For those who use NYRA Bets and use the video replays associated with each horse in the program, note that all Belmont races - even those from the Spring 2022 season and before - are currently labeled "Belmont at the Big A" which is clearly incorrect. This has been noted to the folks at NYRA Bets for correction.

I thought only criminals used aliases?

The NYRA App will not pull up advanced entries. It just goes to the Belmont page and says no racing today. I was able to get them from Brisnet.

I know the issue is PP data. Just sharing what I have noticed. I have not been out to the track(SHRP) to bet since LS closed.

That said I don’t understand all the Belmont at the Big A push. It’s not like any big races are being run to entice the average sports fan that could care less of horse racing outside the TC races. Obviously Belmont is not available so Aqueduct gets another meet. Big deal. Horse racing betters really don’t care so why not just Aqueduct? The whole thing theatrics just seems ridiculous to me.
