We better be there, mostpost :jump:
Or, at least watch on TV and applaud at the appropriate moments.
Otherwise, comrade, we will be deemed as truly un-American

It is a shame mostie that you, horsey, FanDan, and the rest can't attend due to scheduling conflicts.
Nancy Pelosi will be having her annual embalmment the same weekend and I know all of you are season ticket holders.:pound::pound::pound:

There you go again with the ethnic politics. The smart guys on the left are wise to you now. The only reason you attack her is because she is Italian-American.
Just like the only reason anyone on the right ever criticized Ted Kennedy was because of his Irish heritage.

While discussing Republican attacks on House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) on Monday’s broadcast of MSNBC’s “Hardball,” host Chris Matthews referred to attacks on Pelosi as “ethnic politics” and stated that attacking people from the coasts who are “usually ethnic” is an old tactic by Republicans.

Maybe Trump should instead have a gay pride parade at taxpayers expense because the left has a thing for buttless leather chaps.
What's the big deal?

No, he's the one whose leg tingles.
The Tingler.
He is a perfect example of 10 pounds in a 5 pound bag.

Overall this thread is pretty funny. The thought Trump wanted to do this funnier. Then the thought he was impressed by the French Military parade the funniest!

Be a much better parade than the garbage the left puts out there.
You guys are sick puppies.

Doesn't the left love the French? Would they ever compare their favorite French president, who inspired this Trump thought, to Hitler himself?
I don't think so.
But you don't condemn that bit of hypocrisy at all in your reply...funny stuff.
In fact, many of the great socialist nations that the left admires holds these kinds of things, including France (ooops...sorry, France isn't quite a socialist nation, now is it? LULZ)

Imagine honoring the people who put their lives on the line to keep us all safe and displaying the best military equipment in the history of the world.
Sounds better than a parade of illegals chanting about their right to be here, of a parade of home grown terrorists chanting No Justice, No peace.
Guess some find the dregs of society entertaining.
Not surprised who they are around here.
Imagine the gall and total lack of cognitive thought to compare the US Military to the Nazis. Takes a real low-life reject to do that.
Can you spell dirt bag?
The same kind of low life that would make jokes about a train accident that took man's life earlier this week.

I was getting there! There are too many lolz in this whole thing I couldn't get them all out.
Typically when I see a picture of Stalin, Mao, Hitler, or the Kims at one of these things I think "man! he must really be compensating for his micropenis." Then Trump thinks it's a good idea.
Then Mosty throws up a article from September. Proceeds to commit the ultimate social media no-no of making a Hitler/Nazi reference when his beloved French are the inspiration for the idea.
Finally you have the French display of military might inspiring ANYBODY let alone Donald Trump... also funny. It's the damn French! Were they marching backwards?
Legitimate question.

When did Trump serve?
Has about as much relevance.

That is BS.
Wasn't talking about Trump, just you. We all know the stories of the French, WWII is a prime example, but that is fighting not being proud of the military.
Tell me how a military parade, a real military parade, is anything but a plus?

I think this is getting out of control, the very same people who hate the President show up here to share their venom. You folks should get over yourselves, no disrespect to you Mike but such posts influence no one at all. It only serves the joy of rubbing salt into your wounds come the next stinger that will be dealt to you. Myself personally I find it more interesting than fourth of July fireworks or the Macy's day parade that I lost all interest for as a kid. It could be a bust and never be done again or take off and be a popular thing folks enjoy, I am open to finding out.

I'm not sure it's anything...
We aren't some military dictatorship that needs to intimidate it's own population or the world.
Also, for whatever reason, it's just something Americans don't do. They are not very common throughout our history aside from victory parades.
Has nothing to do with pride or patriotism. America has just never seemed to need them to embody those things.

Precisely my point. Honoring our veterans or those currently serving is fine
as a part of a larger celebration or parade.
What Trump is proposing is an arrogant look at me and all my toys parade.
Also Trump wanted to have a military power parade as part of his inauguration. No other president has ever tried to do that.

The video here seems to resemble liberal demonstrators more than anything else. I don't see much celebration. Perhaps Mosty posted the wrong video from his personal collection.

It will be the biggest, best attended, and most watched Military parade in history. LOL.
The President says so. LOL.
Instead of my inane shows of force, how about visiting the troops overseas.
you know like other CICs Obama, W, Clinton, 43 etc.
you know, like true leadership. LOL
Nah too busy golfing down in Florida for that kind of nonsense.
Might miss your tee time.

I'd rather just have a huge memorial day parade commemorating the sacrifices that the armed forces have suffered in wars.
Those are the people we owe everything to.

I disagree, he's the same as every other president. 4 year term, running for reelection and serving another 4 (if reelected).

Who the Hell cares what COngress likes?
Likewise the Pentagon.
The SOLDIERS, now, that is all that matters.
And as to leastie's comment about all his toys....those are OUR toys. Bought and paid for by our taxes - the taxes of those who WORK and CONTRIBUTE to the nations, unlike the 47% anchors, who hold us back.
I would love to see our technology on display.
Lord know we are forced to watch every perversion known to man
on parade all the time. Time for a parade that means something.
He, if leastie and horsey don't like it, this is a free country in spite of the democrats - let the stand up and protest!
PLEASE, let them, PLEASE!!:pound:

Why would an American be intimidated???
I think it would be an eye-opener for the rest of the 3rd and 4th rate world to see. I'd have a float with a freaking live NUKE on it and a sign reading, "AVAILABLE NOW!"
