Hi guys. What is the best free anti-virus software out there? I have window defender but would like to get something else. Dam Microsoft did an update on my computer last night and they wiped out my google chrome took me an hour to get it back GRRRRR. Just about have had it with these people they just do whatever they want and wipe out files with no recourse.

Defender is all you need IMO if you are running Windows.

MS has done a great job improving it over the years, and really, why would you want to risk messing up or slowing down your PC with a third party AV?

Makes zero sense to me.

It's all I run.

Also , Chrome has built in Malware protection in its browser ..

So PA's Defender & Chrome should keep you clean....

Staying away from porn sites, social media frequented by young people, and don't open suspicious e-mail files, I have found is the best way to avoid computer viruses. My computer virus issues ended the day the last teenage male left the house.

Windows programs? If so you’re pretty much limited to Msoft tablets. They are ok>……

Nothing beats an iPad though. But you cannot run windows apps
