John Velazquez, Mike Smith and Joel Rosario absolutely are a big bonus to have in the saddle. I know some here don't believe the jockey has much to do about winning races. These 3 guys are amazing. You can see their abilities. IMO these 3 guys make a horse a length or more better than if a regular journeyman were riding. A lot of guys made the move to California from the East and failed. For Mike Smith it was the best thing to ever happen to him. Well maybe in the top 2 best things.
