Has the freshly-claimed 9 year old Jonny's Choice "all set" to run a 1 3/4 miles on the dirt tomorrow in the Trail's End at Oaklawn. He claimed him off of Diodoro who got him from Spawr who couldn't get this horse to do much of anything at Santa Anita and Los Al. Interestingly enough there is another horse in the race named "Crooked as Can Be."

I wish Jonny nothing but the best as I'm sure he has had wonderful care in the Blofeld shedrow.

I have the horse running similar speed figures for Spawr and Diodoro. The competition is just a bit easier at OP.

We'll see. Running a mile for an 8,000 tag at Los Al is not quite like and mile a three quarter starter allowance with a $55,000 purse.

I'm just saying it isn't like Diodoro moved the horse up. He just moved him. We'll see what happens with Broberg. I won't be betting the horse, that is for sure.

I wonder what his stats are at Evangeline Downs so far this short season

Through the 21st Equibase has him 10: 5-0-1 at Evangeline.

That’s up to date from tonight’s first race, which he ran 1-2 I believe, and he had one other in that didn’t place. It’s only going to get easier for him as well. Being that he’s the guy that claims the most and at yesterday’s commission meeting they changed the claiming jail rule from 30 days to 20 days for Louisiana.

Thanks. Very well could be. I got those numbers from his summary page, and didn't drill down. The summary page apparently doesn't go back to the beginning of the meet.

Interesting stats, especially when you consider Broberg has races with multiple horses, so they can't all win.
