Have you never had your horse fouled or impeded and thought that you were the victim of a bad non call?
It cuts both ways.
I would rather see a rules violation punished and a good faith effort to rectify that breach with a proper placing of the finishers.
Loo, I've been pulled down more than I've been pulled forward. I have also seen where my horse has been impeded and no call was made to adjust the order of finish....In other words, IMO they 'missed' it

The problem is human error and fallible political appointees with at the very least subconscious biases making the calls. It's the inconsistencies that are the mostly the problem. HUGE money is being invested in buying horses and betting on horses, and owners and bettors have thousands or tens of thousands riding on guesswork from people with no financial skin in the outcomes and no worries about getting fired or disciplined for any decisions that are made.

As far as being the victim in a situation where my horse was too slow to keep up, we've all been there obviously, but, if you know in advance that winners get paid you won't be bummed out at all, if you get bumped its just bad luck and you'll get em next time, you'll know winners get paid it won't phase you in the least if you get interfered with.

Anyone think the DQ at Parx in race 4 was legit?

So you'd rather have decisions made by people with some skin in the game and are worried about doing the right thing? You really think that would produce better results? You think introducing more potential conflicts of interest is a good idea? Never heard that one before.

I just want them to be held accountable for similar looking incidents that result in a DQ one day and a non DQ the next, my point was they have no fear of making mistakes because a bad DQ doesn't cost them financial losses and they're never in fear of losing their jobs due to a bad DQ.

Typical Mountainneer BS w shaky DQ, extremely slight brush, no affect on outcome, down, DQ. Amazing place, if these people go out of business one day ill crack open a cold one and celebrate their demise, rotten filth.

One of you two is destined to leave this place very soon.

The powers that be can't take much more of the both of you. This board isn't big enough...and seems to have gotten smaller since the SRU/EMD tag-team took over the joint.

So, a decision will be rendered shortly and swiftly. You brought this on yourselves...the powers that be have tried to get you both to cooperate, but to no avail.

I'm sorry it has come to this...

If only you two could switch on the "civil" mode more often and tone down the wise-ass, smart-ass component of your posting personalities, things might be different. But it never seems to end. The jockey bashing...the race fixing...the "racing sucks balls but I continue to bet" attitudes...it's all just overkill.

We have plenty of other people who can post pretty much the same stuff but in a less irritating manner.

So in one of my front side jobs over the years I worked in a duel role of racing, marketing, p.r. and customer service. My boss was from outside the industry and decided that every customer service compliant should be responded to. The longer-term employees tried to explain that we had tried things like this in the past but it was useless because you simply can't please some people. That most of these conversations were circular. ("The jockeys were cheating, the trainers were drugging, the takeout was too high, the ATM fees were too high, the drink and food prices were too high, the building was too hot/too cold etc.)

So I spent about six months of my career dealing with people like SRU in person. After about 3-4 phone calls/emails/in person meetings I would explain to all the SRU's (we probably had about 5-10 of them) that I was sorry we couldn't meet their level of customer service, that clearly we are not the same page in terms of how to run a racetrack/casino and since we differ so greatly on these things maybe you should take your business some place else. In other words "sorry you're not happy here, we've had numerous conversations about finding middle ground to no avail, please go frequent another establishment and leave our staff alone."

90% of the time after had these "break up meetings" the person would be back in my office a week later with more complaints.

I feel your pain PA.

I wont speak for EMD, but if i see a bad ride or something that needs to be called out, ill csll it out. If you think that a jock is getting bashed unfairly, you can state your case and we can duscuss it, im pretty civil here in the face of a lot of unprovoked personal attacks, so im not sure where you think ive been uncivil.

I think I have toned down the directness of my posts. I have to admit, as a first time poster (when I joined), I had to learn what the lines are.

My passion for this game has been mistaken for otherwise but I blame no one but myself.

Recently, I haven't said much about jockeys AND/OR when I did, it was simply to site error AND/OR reply to other's posts.

I frankly, have toned it down big time.

Recently, I have been attacked unmercifully by Grits and that was unwarranted.

I have been called a F***ing Moron by an industry role model and didn't stoop down to his level.

In both those cases, I handled myself with class, dignity and honor.

Now, with that said. I ask that you deactivate my account and not SRU's as he has been here well before me and is a HUGE reason why this site is popular.

It truly has been a pleasure to interact with all people here and I mean that sincerely.

No hard feelings PA nation, be well and may the horse be with you.

Every one of your posts has class, dignity and honor. I have always appreciated that. You're a breath of fresh air. Please stay on. Maybe you need a break?
Whatever you do PA, don't delete his account.

Here here, we can't afford to lose posters who have incredible passion for the game as well as being genuine and telling it like it is. Anyone who's offended by honesty and straightforward posting is a 'them problem'

not a fan of that one at the mtn. race 8. 1 anitcipates the 4 lugging in, takes up then the 4 drifts over slightly now that no horse is there, when the 4 was going on to win anyways. that was weak imo
