Most bent ride I've ever seen happened today - O Bocachica

O Bochachica on Boomerang Miss in the first at Monmouth.

Did literally EVERYTHING to get the horse to lose

Have a look

Pretty brutal.....

Some would say that's one of his better rides

the little guy 06-19-2016 02:08 PM

He is a terrible rider.

johnhannibalsmith 06-19-2016 02:47 PM

And I'm guessing he's not much behind the wheel of a car either.

bello 06-19-2016 05:57 PM

Seems to do that often.....Sorry Brad Thomas...He is not underrated...He is either crooked or awful...likely a touch of both.

These kind of rides are what lead people to think exchange wagering is asking for trouble. That looked terrible. Maybe it was just an awful ride, but he should absolutely be called on the carpet for that one.

ultracapper 06-19-2016 06:23 PM

Zero effort in a tough situation that looked like he had plenty of horse to at least try to look good. A little traffic at the 1/4 pole that he probably could have avoided in the first place, but even after encountering it, he could have at least asked the horse to swing out at the 3/16 and make a run. MLFav!!!! OUCH!!!!

no breathalyzer 06-19-2016 06:46 PM

it was bad . but not even the worse ride in the past couple of weeks.. i will give you a hint .. he horse is running on the 23rd track Pimlico

Parkview_Pirate 06-19-2016 07:57 PM

Definitely a bad ride - appeared he didn't even bother to tuck his silks in properly, thus generating more aerodynamic drag during the race.... :D

On the other hand, at least he stayed on the horse - saw a jock "fall off" one time at un-Fairmount to prevent himself from winning a race.....

parlay 06-19-2016 08:15 PM

he definitely bet the super

Racey 06-19-2016 09:03 PM

wow

choked him back at least 4 times ... love the whip out in the stretch ...

The main problem with US racing is that the jockey and trainer here will get no disciplinary action whatsoever.

Tried to rush up between horses TWICE...shut off TWICE....I fail to see the wisdom of the second attempt to go into a hole that was not there.

You guys think he was stupid?

Just watch saturday's last race at Belmont for THE definition of STUPID.

Since I was 5 or 6 years old, I would say "LEFT HAND WHIP" as my horse was coming down the lane. For many reasons.

Well, super mental midget Luis Saez attempted to commit suicide in the last race. His horse was up 3-5 lengths in deep stretch of a race. His horse suddenly went to the wrong lead inside the 1/16 AAAAANNNNDDDD started to lug in on that incorrect lead....

Genius Saez, decided to whip hard right handed. Horse crashes into the rail and breaks the rail a few yards from the wire.

There is ABSOLUTELY ZERO reason for ANY JOCKEY, from Utah to PLUTO, to EVER whip a horse right handed WHEN THEY ARE ON THE LEAD in the stretch (Unless the horse has some crazy quirk and bolts when whipped left handed). Plus when you whip left handed, you can herd out any oncoming foes who are rallying to the outside.

On a different level, if you whip a horse (right handed) who goes back to the wrong lead you are asking for your horse to lug in bad. Not a smart move when you are already close to the rail.

The correct thing to do is to give a circular motion with your hands in an attempt to recorrect the horse OR to whip left handed to avoid lugging in bad.

There were a handful of people on track that let this mental midget have it as he crashed his horse to the rail and to the ground.

And people get mad at me on here when I compain about jockeys?

That ride is absolute proof of how utterly stupid some of these guys are.

Chapa might disagree.
