The Preakness Stakes

Might as well start a thread for the Preakness. Which horses have been rumored to go to Baltimore so far?

BlueChip@DRF 05-09-2022 07:03 AM

Anyone outside this list is not likely.

Early Voting gets my vote.

He does have that Cloud Computing vibe.

But what about Joe and Mr. Jefferson?

They ran 1-2 in the Federico Tesio.

GaryG 05-09-2022 11:00 AM

If Asmussen decides to go with Epicenter he will be hard to beat. Under those crazy conditions I thought he ran big.

classhandicapper 05-09-2022 12:50 PM

I hope Epicenter goes. The race won't have a lot of appeal if he doesn't go. I don't think Zandon will and it doesn't seem like the pace setters from the Derby are going to be given another shot.

dballard125 05-09-2022 01:00 PM

If Early Voting enters, I will be betting him big.

Without an Epicenter - Rich Strike rematch, the Preakness will lose a ton of shine.

The Preakness will get a lot of attention if Secret Oath enters, and she will likely be a big underlay if she goes.

I'll probably go with Epicenter. He ran the best race in the Derby. Rich Strike won't get 21 and change for the first quarter again.

Spalding No! 05-09-2022 08:30 PM

Taiba is out.

Blackadder now trained by Christophe Clement.

Mr_Ed 05-09-2022 08:45 PM

Rich Strike is 80-1 to go to The Preakness......I spoke with him today.

He and his connections simply will not do a 2 week turnaround.

Rich Strike is gunning for a huge Belmont party.

i agree that he ran great, the winner was great, but the best was MO DONEGAL and he got nothing!
