Cam Newton is back after an unfair shot with the Patriots. their offensive line had all new guys on it when he played there. I hope he gets on a roll and brings them to the playoffs. all of a sudden the Patriots show up with the best offensive line in football after they let Cam go.

I once hit 63% over a full NBA season, playing 3-4 days a week. I lived in San Clemente Ca and rode my motorcycle to Tijuana Mexico 150 mile round trip, before work on swing shift and on days off. That was pre-internet, I kept results for every team against the spread in a notebook, along with any key players out. The sad part, I did not do much better than even, I probably barely covered gas, wear and tear, tires and lunch. It wasn't lack of betting big enough, I seemed to lose every time I loaded up. I should have just allotted a percentage of bankroll for each type bet but never had the discipline.



With so much information available at the click of a mouse that requires no homework, leveling the playing field, I would think staying in the 60%+ range for a long time would be very hard to do these days.

Tell me about it, I have a 5 team division winner parlay, I made after week two, would have made it sooner, but had Covid. Having to wait an extra week cut my odds in half. I have Buffalo and when New England was 2-4 I threw out the schedule I had printed out for them as I did not see them as a threat. The other 4 divisions are looking good for me, but those pesky Patriots and the Bills going backward.

ya Inner D things were lots different back in those days all i needed was a league log book and some good power numbers plus i was on the middle fence being an action taker also . no billy walters to deal with too. today whales everywhere best of luck sir :headbanger:

The chances of Buffalo winning the division are slim and none now. The loss and listening to it on the radio were torture. The way Kevin Harlan calls a game is annoying. He is overly descriptive to the point where you will think a guy has broke a nice run and he got a yard. He always mentions what yard line a ball is thrown to and what body position the guy is in, then takes forever to tell he dropped it.

LOL...I listened to Harlan for 10 years while I worked evenings....got used to him

And as for Belicheat ...... You have to say he's the best there ever was....

I have satellite radio, I will usually just tune into the home team local feed, when listening. On NFL radio broadcasts you can pick the home or away radio feed. Obviously with money riding on Buffalo no way am I going to listen to the enemy Patriot announcer. The home feed seemed to oddly be spotty, which does occur occasionally to I switched to the NFL channel which had Westwood One and Harlan. I might have heard him before but don't remember.


I don't know if it was Jack Buck in his latter years, but I remember one guy on the MNF radio decades ago, that was slow and left out details like he was calling the game for a TV audience. You could tell the play was in motion because you could hear the crowd roaring, when the home team had the ball.

He hadn't even mentioned the snap yet.

or

Bet a team if they lost but had more total yards than the winning team..

It was a sure way straight to the poor house...
