There is nothing we need that we cannot grow, mine, make or invent alternatives for.
When our FF got here, there were forests, rivers, bears, and Indians. We figured it out then. We can do it again.

That wasn't us. That was them. The 'Us' today has a heck of a lot more
organizatons, politicians and people trying to get their hands on everything. Won't be easy, I'll leave it at that.'

Yes, but at what cost? Image what a TV set from WalMart that costs $125 today would cost if it was built entirely with American labor.

When you get inside the mainland (corporations) you agree to share technology with sister company's (Chinese backed) in exchange. The next new thing if not produced in China sold into our economy is a huge problem for China, a massive problem for them. Consider this, these sweatshops in China are not operating at a profit. They are running break even just to provide China's people jobs. Trump turns the screws just slightly and Kim Jong-un is found dead, better yet what is left to that bloodline is gone and a puppet is installed.
You folks worry that your dirt cheep electronics don't go up, what a joke.

Not true. Many private companies operating in China are there for profits, but they are finding costs too high and are outsourcing to places like Vietnam.

The TV set was but one example. Multiply that by all the other consumer goods we now import and imagine the impact on the cost of living for the average working family.
