Good news about gas?

http://usnews.rankingsandreviews.com...sed-the-Peak-/

From the article:

The price drop has a few analysts saying that the price of gas may have peaked. Fred Rozell, retail pricing director for the Oil Price Information Service, told the AP, "It could go up just a little bit more…but I think it's running out of steam." Rozell predicted that the nationwide average could reach $3.70/gallon "at the most." What's behind the sudden decline in prices? According to the AP, "Soaring gas prices are cutting demand for gasoline, and analysts have long theorized that falling demand will eventually force prices lower."

Perhaps someone in DC might take a look at strengthening the dollar.

We have got to stop listening to wackos and use our own resources. We have vast oil, coal and gas deposits right here in our own country. Coal can be liquefied into oil.

This will never happen. Libs are dead set on saving the planet while their moronic policies (such as ethanol production) produce global food shortages. Their diabolical strategy is transparent: Kill off enough of the world's population through starvation and that will mean fewer people to poison the air with their carbon dioxide.

Agree, but strengthening the dollar is immediate and directly relatted to the price of oil. And he doens't need to fight congress to do it.

I don't think wackos have too much to do with this. Drilling, etc. is mostly dictated by the states themselves and for the majority of the past 8 years this has been a Big Oil friendly congress. Money to build new refineries and what have you, has mostly ended up in select pockets. Check out current CEO salaries

I think Big Oil saw an opportunity to ramp prices up to an outrageous level and they took it. Tom's right, it will probably hit 5 bucks a gallon. Then they will gradually drop it back down to the $3.50 to 3.75 range and keep it there until the next opportunity to screw us comes around.

Banking on the American People's willingness to take it in the ass has proven to be a profitable scenario each time they have tried it.

Later, just like all the other times this has happened, it will be revealed there was much price fixing, etc going on. They get a slap on the wrist, a few minimal fines and walk away with huge profits.

We get permanently higher prices and a sore ass.

The Gov of Montana wants to get at and develop the 120 million tons of coal they have there.
It was Bill Clinton that made those low sulpher coal deposits in Utah offlimits for us to use.
Here's a flash: So called Big Oil does not set theoil prices. They made record profits but also pd more taxes than any other corporation in our history.
The President of Shell said they were working on a 7% profit margin.
Nope, it's the wackos. You can't blame this on Bush or big oil.
