Oaks and Close Hatches

Was impressed by her performance today. Was confronted at turn and pulled away deep stretch and looked to still have more. Obviously the Oaks is DofJ's to lose based on her last but looks like Mott has this one going in the right direction and could be primed for a big effort on Oaks day and the gambler in me keeps thinking DofJ could have left her best race in Florida.

if i am the owner of dreaming of julia , based on last and the performance of the colts so far, I am going to the derby for sure. as off last she is a standout. see what emollient did at keeneland yesterday!

Can't go to the Derby - we got rules to ensure stuff like this never happens.
Stuff like a better field.

Rules are rules.
We can't let the quality of the races get in the way of rules.

Some rules make sense.
Others do not.

If you have an filly you think is good enough for the Derby then run her in male prep races. Pretty simple.

That's how I look at it too. Wanna play, ship her to OP, it's not too late.
