i suspect he played his hand as long as he could and knows that to get those 2 senators re=elected in Georgia, he needs to play a different game..

Thanks to Mitch there will be no 160 billion dollar bailout to horribly run blue states! California, New York, New Jersey, Illinois will have to figure out how to cut their bloated state budgets, if not, then massively raise taxes on them. Won't affect me, I live in a deep red state where tax increases don't happen unless the voters say so.

i am going to agree with you, however it really doesn't make to much of a difference now after all the corporate welfare that has been handed out the past 20 years and especially the past 4 years, the government will go bankrupt or steal the money from the citizens that hold currency by debasing it.

If Georgia does not elect both democrat Senators New York will slip into a permanent abyss of the bowels that no one can change. The thing is New York & NYC elected two commies, now some want a life line so absolutely everyone in the country should pay more. That makes even less sense than bailing out Canada in the next recession.
