:faint::faint:

It took somebody on your side of the aisle to cry about money and threaten to pull out of NATO. No surprise there.

Ohhh come on Dave...haven't you heard.....
As long as its not them, they want others to pay their "fair share".....
But the really intriguing part is when you ask ANY liberal what "fair share means" in terms of how much, they can never answer!! Its always a moving target.....
Hypothetically pay ten dollars today, tomorrow they want twenty....
That's exactly why they will never provide a fixed number.....It would lock them in!!

Oh no, Dave. Only our beloved conservative Republicans pay their fair share.

Nice deflection....
But the question still remains....
What is wrong with the US asking for ALL countries to pay their share equally? Or in your terms, their "fair share"???
I await your response......:headbanger:

1. Because the USA has been a member. You think Russia scared of FRANCE?::pound::pound::pound:

2. Seeing how it has worked so well, what reason is there for those benefiting from it pay their share?

3. The biggest cause of WWII is that Europe sat on their butts and allowed Germany to rebuilt and seek revenge - THEY were lazy cowards afraid to do anything about it. Explain to me why we should allow them to once again sit back and wait for us to have to bail them out.

F- Europe~! They get what they deserve.

"I have never seen Trump as power hungry".. you're out of focus.

You forget Clinton?

Not Republicans/conservatives in today's U.S.A. These people want the something for nothing and they want it now. So they cry like babies about the US paying too much for everything. We can't raise taxes to pay for our crumbling infrastructure. We can't pay taxes for food stamps, Medicaid, healthcare, Social Security, or world peace. Because nothing is more important than Republicans/conservatives paying less taxes!

How does one fool oneself into believing being selfish is a virtue?

NATO hasn't been all rosy. Libya. Afghanistan, Kosovo bombings, Bosnia genocide...I can go on...

Sorry for the delay, Newt. Didn't want to miss the Meals on Wheels guy and disappoint Dave!

Obama asked the NATO members to pay more. But Obama didn't insult our allies in the process. Do we want Europe to build powerful armies again? Is that in our best interest?

Is this money so important that we can belittle NATO countries and not worry about repercussions?

Again, you failed to answer...…
Is it wrong for the US to ask (regardless of how you think we should ask) for each country to EQUALLY pay their share????

I think it is a dumb thing for us to do. We are rocking the boat for a few dollars more - dollars that amount to peanuts compared to the human and $ cost of another world war to the USA.

So everything I said, in what you called my "rant" was true/……

You expect the US to pay more.....
You think (because of your social beliefs) we need to take care of the rest of the world....

Never mind the fact that we have our own issues here....
Never mind the fact that there is a deficit issue in this country....HUGE might I add....

I would expect better from a numbers cruncher...…

Youre agenda outweighs common sense

War?? Yeah, There is EU on the brink of war right now just waiting for us to exit ...lmao

Not about winning.....I don't think there is a win. Its more of a debate where we both express our opinions (even if we disagree)…..

Due to the United States being the sole hegemon on the planet and being a firm believer in the global hegemonic stability theory...

Yes, the United States should pay more.

Sounds unfair until you realize it's a pretty small price to pay for running the largest national economy and having as backup the largest proxy economy in the world... until recently that is.

This whole thing is now beginning to backfire with nationalist and European solidarity movements picking up massive steam.

So our successes should punish us ???
And what would happen IF, we continued down this road and "busted"...?
Who would step up and pay for everyone else???
You really think Germany would???
