Odds-on favorites
 

This has been asked and answered before, I suspect.

Does anyone have stats of the frequency of odds-on favorites and finishing position?

For instance, horses at 0.80 - 0.90 to 1.00 finish first 48%, second 30%, 3rd 12%, etc.? (I don't know if those are the right answers, just estimating).

I did remember looking at stats like this from the book and while back so it was easy to just screenshot the pages (which are the sample pages off of Amazon) and post it here for you so all good

I’m not sure why you’d be interested in those type of statistics, but in any case the general information that’s been provided so far is in my mind is worthless.
When trying to analyze something like this you would have to have far more detailed information.

All these type of races should be broken down by a least the following conditions:
Track / Racing Surface / Track Condition / Class / Distance / No of Entries
Only then can you get some meaningful insight.

He just wanted to know the %tages of odds on favorites and I have given him the correct screenshots

But I would have to agree about the races being broke down
