Yep, guess I was in a Turfway state of mind when I wrote that. I stand corrected. The point was that I have no problem with the sounds of silence.

That being said, there are many fine announcers out there that truly enhance the sport.

Am I the only one that got the joke? Keeneland went without any announcers until the 90's.
