no doubt about it

i am usually sleeping at this time, but its pouring outside and i don't feel like running in the rain.. a friend of mine calls me out of the blue. he had bet on the Philadelphia Eagles +6 1/2.

the Seahawks are winning the game by 14 points with a minute to go.. the Eagles quarterback throws a Hail Mary pass into the endzone and the receiver catches the pass for a touchdown to close the gap to 8 points. the coach keeps the offense on the field and goes for the 2 points. they run the ball in and gets the 2 points to bring the margin down to 6. the eagles go for the onside kick and it fails. game ends.

you got to love this coach, he did the right thing for his fans. i don't bet sports, but if i did now i would never bet against the Eagles with this head coach.

a win washes away all your sins but i really questioned a lot of pete carroll's decisions early in this game.

hindsight's 20/20; but why go on the two early 4th downs against a struggling eagles offense? another play boston scott clearly seemed to be out of bounds before the sticks.....challenge the spot! seattle had over a dozen first downs before the eagles had one!

Going for two is actually the play according to analytics when you are down 8 and need another score in the 4Q.

I think it is safe to say analytics weren't really in use in the days of the AFL. :)

Only been (10) successful 2-pt. plays in a Super Bowl, the Patriots have made three of them. Belichik is the master of 2-pointers.
