Casinos the new norm betting Blackjack

Some local casinos have started opening up with a cap of three players as opposed to six at Blackjack tables. My question is there any advantage or disadvantage to how many players sitting at the table?

The less players at the table, the more hands each player gets per hour...and the more money each player loses as a result.

i have read some vegas casinos have plastic shields between slot machines and blackjack tables. and for the crap tables places for players to stand 6 ft apart. i think more tables will b open so more players can play. may open up more jobs for dealers.

Arguably it's a bit easier to keep an accurate count with less players at the table.

So you are saying the house increased its edge.

No. Each individual player gets dealt more hands per hour, therefore bets more money per hour, therefore loses more money per hour.

The casino probably makes less money per hour by having the table half full, unless they can deal twice as many hands per hour which is doubtful.

Without a doubt easier but also much easier for you to be identified and thus shown the exit door.

I don't know much about table games.

Why would craps be open but not roulette, for instance?

Less players per table = LESS hands per hour per table.
Less players per table = LESS churn per hour.
Less players per table = LESS profit.
Less players per table = MORE labor cost per hand (i.e. more dealers)
Less players per table = LESS hands per sq foot of floor.

People sit closer together?

I actually have no clue but a Las Vegas crap table is way longer than a roulette table.
