A Thread about Nothing
Following Jerry Seinfeld lead on "A Show about Nothing", why not "A Thread about Nothing?" Many of these threads (including mine) end up being about nothing even if they were started with good intent. So, let's try it. Here goes:
My sister and her daughter are coming over today. I'm grilling chicken. You never know how the chicken is going to come out. Kathy, my wife, will fix the sides. How is it that every time I cook, I just know that she's doing more work? Can't win.

Gotta go, nothing's calling.

Isn't this why twitter came to be?

Working on one of many Windows applications while my son cleans his golf clubs. As soon as my brother gets here, it's off to the practice range and a round.

Have you tried cooking a whole chicken sitting over a can of beer? Try it! tastes fantastic.

Beer can chicken - mmm mmm mmm!
I'm about to head out on a quest for Porterhouse steaks and corn.
The beer is already on ice.

I went grocery shopping this morning. They forgot to put the hamburger in the sack. I had to go back and get it.

Mowed the lawn, heading out for some bird seed for the birdfeeder. And some dinner fixins, my mom is in town, I decided to do grilled chicken, grilled asparagus, and pasta carbonara.
I've been going to Ace hardware more often than home depot. It really is easier to find things, and faster. The cute checkout girl doesn't hurt...the home depot gals are pretty gnarly.

A small store doesn't have some things.
A big store has them, but you can't find them.

Returning tomorrow from a 2-week trip to NH. Went Candleping Bowling 3 times, and hopefully a 4th time tonight. Bowled 22 and 17 games on 2 of those days. Can't say I'm bowlng well, but improved practicing at home with my homemade pins and solftballs. Averaged 87.5 so far, last year was only a 75, so I am getting better. Nothing wrong with my game that another year of practice (or a real league seaons if Chicago had Candlepins) couldn't solve.

Casual handicapping day, may play a race or two - will watch Queen's Plate.
Beef terriyaki kebabs on the grill for dinner - maybe a margharita too - yumm.

Mowed and edged the yard, raked up Magnolia leaves. Damn Magnolia trees shed all summer.
