Major Gain # :6: has some back class at 2 & 3yo while running with the Gary and Mae West silks. Was a graded stakes winner as a maiden and finished second in the KY Jockey Cup, but something obviously went wrong during the running of the Holy Bull. After a 16 month hiatus faced some decent NW1X horses at Saratoga. Ran a decent 3rd while experiencing some traffic trouble in the stretch on the FG turf first out for new owner/trainer Louis Roussel. Two nice maintenance breezes since his last start and it's all systems go in this one. He has shown enough speed in the past to be up close in this race with almost no early pace.

You could be on to something but it is always tough to improve a horse off Catalano, and there had to be a reason that they would sell the horse to Louie R. But you have the right surface and distance for an improvement as IMO this would be Louie's bread and butter to get a horse into the winner's circle. One horse of recent memory that Louie did it with was Santa who he claimed off Pletcher and got 2 wins at Arlington later that summer. Good luck to you in the race. I'm going to go with :8: Parabellum.
