I find it funny that owners and trainers are complaining about the purse reductions.
Look in the mirror guys and gals.
I have been playing So. and no. Cal simulcasts for many years, but I have reduced the amount of times I play them. Not because of Magna, but because of field sizes.
If they entered more horses in races more off-track betters would play them.
They tried to correct this years ago when they went from 9 weekday races to 8. And for a while the fields were larger.
When we have more than a dozen tracks to play every day why play 4-6 horse fields?
For afternoon tracks I prefer Tampa, Gulfstream, Oaklawn, Fairgrounds.
