Race 1: (3)IMPULSE BUYER ran good races in MSW here during the summer when she showed good speed, and it looks like her new trainer bringing her back to her initial good form. The favorite ([B]6)HER ROYAL HONOR has stamina concerns and it's not a sure thing.

(3)IMPULSE BUYER 1 win
(6)HER ROYAL HONOR - (3)IMPULSE BUYER exacta

Race 2: favorite (8)Frappe la Rue could bounce after rising his Beyer 30 points (32 > 62). (2)KHABIBULIN with his strong closing kick may profit from his foe bounce.

1 win/ 2 place

Race 3: Lightly raced (1)SEASON CHANGE is an improving filly, unexposed over two turns and last time she showed good tactical speed

Race 4: The speed of the field (5)Osisko seems in a downward cycle (75 > 65 > 44) an here he's got some competence for the lead. Stalker (1)PURIN KATAN has done everything right when running a this level on dirt

2nd > 2nd > 1st > 4th > 1st

and may profit any weakness from the pacesetters.

win/show

1st ($23.00 - 10.60 - 6.20)

Race 5: It seems that the speed bias is gone. One stalker and 3 closers have won tonight. There is a bunch of speed horses here. (2)RED ARMY run a much improved performance for his new trainer last time with a big 80 Beyer. If he doesn't bounce will find a perfect stage (speed inflation) for his late run.

Race 6: another closer won race 5. We need a horse who can pass horses because this is another field with early speed inflation. Tough to select. (7)PURELY HOT drops in class after a very good race at a higher level (last cash of the year). She is a closer on turf and last spring new how to rate on dirt.

1st ($18.20 - 7.80 - 6.00)

Race 7: (7)CURSIN CATHY is an improving filly who jumped from a victory to N4L to another at open $4.000, both victories missing the break. That strong closing punch is what we need tonight.

2nd ($4.00 - 3.20)

Maxi, the speed bias dominant the whole week has changed to closers bias, but the public is betting speed and there are good betting opportunities.

Race 8: Heavy favorite (2)Bennets Lane run evenly in his first dirt route, the drop didn't help, maybe he's a Polytrack closer. Tonight's other route (race 3) has been won by a 57/1 plodder. It looks that routing and at this low level the track is kind of dead. Genuine deep closer (8)BROOKLAWN DOUBLE closed a ton of groun two starts and is an interesting longshot (win/show).

Race 9: (12)LIGHTNIN LIZZIE[B] came short (3rd) after a bold move 7 wide over a speed friendly track. Tonight she's got the closer bias to help her cause.

win/place

2nd ($10.00 - 6.00)
