TAMPA BAY[B]

Race 1: (4)EXPORTER made a nice middle move and tired in his debut. Today cuts the distance and drops the price 50%. His last workout after the race showed improvement (49.3 > 49.0). A 40 Beyer here would be enough to get his maiden diploma.

3rd ($2.40)

Race 2: (1)Spittin Feathers comes from a good second and she's got a progressive pattern in her speed figures, but she shows no workouts in four weeks while (7)SARDEGNA'S GOLD has been training thoroughly for this race for a red hot barn and with his A game she should win this race.

Race 3: Tough race. (3)BILLY'S BAND drops to his lowest level ever, has run well here in the past and his odds smell confidence

20/1 > 28/1 > 22/1 > 3/1

2nd ($3.80 - 2.80)

The Spaniard
12-14-2012, 02:02 PM
Race 4: Another little puzzle. (6)G's BACKINACTION was at the top of her game before the short layoff

54 > 63 > 65 > 70

If her new trainer has managed to hold his good form she's got a shot.

Her new trainer has managed to convert her in a living dead...

Race 5: Daughter of a grade III placed in France and sixter of Listed winner in France, progressive (7)VIPERA is firing bullets in the morning and on paper she's impossible to oppose.

1st ($3.00 - 2.40 - 2.20)

The Spaniard
12-14-2012, 02:59 PM
Race 6: the low speed figures of this field say it's well below the standar. Better look for a new face. (8)RUSTLER's got a nice set of long or very long workouts, always a good commodity in this dime level, and she's being bet.

Race 7: The speed figures of (10)KINGS TUESDAY on turf

51 > 58 > 68 > 78

say he's an unexposed turf horse with lots of upside potential. He's got also the best turn of foot of the field. If sprinter (3)Silver Meeting try to steal it and sets a fast pace that would help KINGS TUESDAY cause.

Race 1: Lightly raced (4)ZAPOUFIT has done everything right over dirt at this level. Her last three speed figures are much the best on offer in this field, and last time, while going too high in class she didn't lower her Beyer, a very positive sign. With her good tactical speed she looks rock solid.

1st ($3.40 - 2.20 - 2.10)

The Spaniard
12-14-2012, 06:22 PM
race 2: debutante (3)CORA CORA CORA is by a mare who won 9 of 33 ($300.000), her three siblings are winners. She shows a pair of speed bullets, and a nice long bullet (1.01.3 B) for a good debut trainer.

too green on the rail

Race 3: Ghostly nickel heat. Two races back (3)CHERRY FITZ was bet 7/1 without apparent reason. He showed good new speed and stopped. Last time he lasted for second in the fog with a "high" 37 Beyer (best last race speed figure). Maybe something that was wrong with the colt now is fine and he continues his improvement. Maybe...

2nd ($3.80 - 2.60)

The Spaniard
12-14-2012, 07:19 PM
Race 4: The track continues playing speed. (1)EMPANGENI is the clear cut speed of the field and has run Beyers on dirt well above the par time for this level (56). If she's not chased too hard by the sprinter Victoria Alexis, and gets a sensible ride, she should beat these with the aid of the strong bias.

1st ($5.80 - 4.20 - 3.40)

The Spaniard

Race 5: (3)SUGAR MAMA is a well bred filly, by City Zip (10th in the USA top 100 Sire List). Her mother is an uterine sixter of a 3rd in the Preaknes, and SUGAR MAMA herself is sibling to a grade 3 placed. I like the full tab of long workouts, stamina builders, and Amussen is good second time out.

1st ($7.60 - 4.20 - 3.80)

The Spaniard
12-14-2012, 08:16 PM
Race 6: (2)CLIPPER FAN is a daughter of route winner Eurosilver out of a daughter of route winner Honor Grades. She could be a route performer, and her trainer shows at least a victorious sprint to route move. Here she's the speed of this extremmely slow field, and sprinting she's run a 55 Beyer, 6 point above the par time for the level. Here she could gallop at a leisure pace and may win first time routing helped by the bias.

1st ($10.20 - 5.80 - 3.00)

The Spaniard

Race 7: (1)CRUISING ROCK comes from NY where he graduated showing high speed and a very fast second quarter in 22.4, knocking down a 1/2 favorite and winning going away without using de whip. That speed and the bias could be a winning combination, specially with Bruce Levine coming back home with a very strong 35% winners.

I don't know if he's bounced or maybe New York breds are the worst bred of the USA[I]

I guess I decided to drop 50 on the wrong one. Looked to be a bad trip though.

bad trip yes, but he had no speed to make himself a good trip on the rail. Watching his last race video I thought he was fast, maybe his foes were just New York plodders... truth is I don't follow NY racing anymore.

better to follow Beyers than visual impressions, and the Beyers where not very optimist for a win first time against winners.

The Spaniard
12-14-2012, 09:11 PM
Race 8: (6)YUYA MAMI made a middle move advancing 7 lenghts, he's got a routing pedigree and she's unexposed with 3 runs. I'll bet her in exacta box with the favorite (7)BOWIES DIVA

I choose the wrong whale

The Spaniard
12-14-2012, 09:38 PM
Race 9: A wide open race to finish. (9)STUPENDOUS DIVA ran a cracker last time fighting for the lead in a mile run at a furious pace for this track a level (22 flat > 46.3), los position and came back again to win. That happened 2 weeks ago, and there is risk of a bounce, but the speed figure was light (53) and maybe she didn't got empty. In a field with several speed horses she likes to stalk just behind the pacesetters, the best placement in this stage.

(4)MISS SHERWOOD as a back up too

2nd ($3.40 - 2.40)
