Race 1: (2)SEVERED TIES is knocking on the door after a good transition from restricted claimers to open $8.000. He can stalk the speed and has a nice shot with the slight drop in class. He looks like a well managed horse.

1 win/ double place

2nd (place $2.60)

Race 2: It looks like speedy (6)VERNON CAT might have an uncontested lead here. This horse is a fighter who won in june with a $17.000 tag. The change of barn may have been positive. He's going to be tough to beat in the last furlong.

Race 3: (1)SEA SIDE STORY exploded winning by10 first time sprinting at her proper level (Md5.000), and rising her speed figure 16 points (37 > 53) from her run at 7f with straight maidens. Busy and healthy work tab, unusual at this low level.

1st ($7.60 - 4.20 - 2.80)

Race 4: Tough race. (4)ON TIME AGAIN is the genuine turf closer in a race with several frontrunners and a probable quick pace. He's dropping in class from his last two races and looks very dangerous.

win /place

Race 5: too much speed in this puzzling mile. (7)TOCCET'S CHARM, good closer when in the mood, and (2)MATAMOR another closer with nice angle turf to dirt, both can win.

win 7
win 2

forget about deep closers over this speed track right now, solid pace, no one came form the back

Race 6: Let's try to beat the hot favorite. Her worst race was her debut over speed biased Santa Anita. The long trip after winning for a $70.000 in Hollywood tag isn't very stimulating.(2)FLASHY PRICE looks like a very professional filly. Nice 67 romp when unchallenged, closed nicely 6 wide of a strong pace.

Race 7: (1)GABE'S GOLD has run 2 routes only. In the first he finished 2nd of 10 with a wide trip an a 50 Beyer (today's par time for this level). Las time he run 4th. He showed the needed speed, lost position going too wide but he came back again on the stretch, very interesting move for this cheap level.

2nd (place $3.60)

Race 8: (2)SPOKANE DANCER lost many photos at this level during the winter/spring meeting. Today, already with a race under the belt, should fight for victory again.

1 win/ 2 place

2nd (place $4.40)

With this obscene bias over the last two days that has sped the track up about two seconds in every race and made rallying from a centimeter off the pace a task of Herculean proportions... hey, why not swing at :8: Alturas in the finale? She's probably too cheapened and tired to get there even with a bias - or today will invariably be the day that they decide they need to let her settle - but at 16-1 in this crow-fest, why not swing a lil'?

Race 9: This is an impossible race. (11)SHE'SOURKINDAGAL is a sprinter (6 wins out of 7) cutting back in distance. Last race was good, a mile run at a sprint pace, and he was there after half a mile. A very fast 3f workout (36.2) might mean hes coming back to form. Shaky, very shaky.

sometimes we the glamblers like to burn our money. Like in the last race. The track is playing speed and I take a closer... why? I don't know, maybe is just I am tired after 9 races...
