I actually put some $ in today. They do get beat up here when they don't hit it, so kudos for today!

I put 10 in today....they had the :10: and :16: on the 3 tickets that they won on.

Spent 144 to get 5 of 6 3 times at $158 a piece.
Couldn't have got to the 10-1 I missed if I went 6 deep
It's interesting how those groups work though
They spent 21K on tickets, evidentally it was a very good beat as they were the only winners.

I'm net ahead throwing a couple of bucks into these pools every now and then. Yesterday $15 netted me about $144 even after taxes withheld. What is interesting is that Twin Spires was trying to raise $25,000 and were only able to raise something in excess of $21,000.

Is there any difference between the TS syndicate taking down the entire pool or some large whale who invests tens of thousands and takes down all 3 tickets himself? Would we all be in the same 'congratulatory mood' if this was the case?

Yes, the TS pool gives the small player a chance to compete effectively* against deep-pocketed large players.

*I don't like their ticket design typically, though

One has only to ask, what is the net ROI of this pool since its inception. If it's positive then maybe there is some merit in joining, otherwise --- well.
