Right-Wingers Whine About Oscar Omission for '2016: Obama's America' -- Here's Four Simple Reasons Why It Got Snubbed

"The action confirms my opinion that the bias against anything from a conservative point of view is dead on arrival in Hollywood circles,” he complained to the Hollywood Reporter.

That’s one explanation for its omission--but here are four far more likely reasons that the propaganda film wasn’t nominated.

I am surprised no one brought this up yet.
I guess losing the election knocked out some of the more obviously dumb bitching

Actually the #1 reason WOULD be...the film industry as whole won't get a STINKING cent of this particular movie...NOW...

Hell...I got my FREE unsoliciated copy in THE mail...AFTER the election....duh :faint:...wonder WHAT union got that delay arranged.... :D

Didn't bother watching...already KNOW what's coming....that disc was GOOD target practice though...

I saw the film. If you want somebody to affirm your belief that Obama is Satan's best friend, wants to destroy the USA as we know it, or is psychologically disturbed, etc., this is your film.

Can't say I enjoyed the show but I did get a few laughs along the way. ;)

In future political history classes, 2016 the Movie will be the poster-child for early 21st century propaganda with the same brand of cult following as Reefer Madness. They certainly bear some similarities both receiving financing by religious groups and both presenting ostensible morality tales.

Anyone of you Eintsteins care to provide specific examples from the fill that were not factual?

I did not see the movie.
I suspect most of you chest-pounders here did not either.
But if you did, you do yourselves a disservice by not showing us the errors in it.

First Error

Dinesh D'Sousa

http://www.thedailybeast.com/newsweek/2012/10/21/the-rise-and-fall-of-dinesh-d-souza.html

Forsaken by the think tanks that groomed him, the precocious conservative scholar of the ’80s was hard to recognize in the bomb-throwing filmmaker of 2016: Obama’s America, which argues that Obama absorbed anticolonial hatred of America from his father.

I would guess that errors 2-10 could be the same as the first

No, no....the format is this:

The film said that _________________.
But in reality, ____________________.

Then link to your evidence.

A hate-piece on the producer is nothing.

I posted that the proprietors of the film were "oh my God" outraged that Hollywood passed them by, not understanding that few outside of the raging on the right that hated Obama to begin with, thought their film had any merit.

Considering sometimes this place is swarming with righties, I thought THAT I WOULD MAKE THAT WELL KNOWN here to rub your collective noses in it.

What's the big friggin' deal? Am I the first partisan to make fun of the other side. Grow a pair and stop whining.

I saw the movie a couple months ago. It wasn't memorable. I do remember something about Obama's Dad being a rebel and a socialist too. Plus the father had kids by a number of wives - kinda reminded me of that Jets football player. Anyway, a pyschiatrist said Obama was greatly influenced by his father even though Barack only met the guy once or twice - when he was a kid I think. Which is supposed to explain Barack the socialist but doesn't explain Barack the great husband and father. . . I also remember an interview with a half-brother of Barack's too but the brother wouldn't say anything at all for or against Barack when given the chance.

Really, unless you went to see this film wanting to be reinforced that Obama was anything but a real American who loves the USA, there wasn't much to it. I went mainly because a couple friends told me to see it so I could see Barack as he really is. They may as well have told me to turn on FOX News and leave it on for 90 minutes. (shrug)

No one, but OYU decided to play our game by replying.
But, YOU are a sniveling little girl who changes the subject all the time. I asked specific and YOU, having, once again NOTHING of fact to offer, resort to the Obama method of debate - attack the person and ignore the ideas. Then you follow it up with another fit.

hcap, you have blow all four tires. You are a joke. You never even saw the film, did you?

Read stinky's reply - at least he shows sign of cognitive thinking. He can formulate ideas of his own and present them. Two things that have escaped you for years here.:lol::lol:

I decided to post the original article making fun of D'Sousa and those that thought his film was a Cecil B Demille epic. Whether I choose to play " how do you know, you didn't see it " is up to me. And in fact I did not criticize his film in my original post Just his behavior.

We all know by reviews what the possibilities are for a piece of crap. I read the reviews. I read D'SOUSA and watched a long extensive debate on cspan with D'Sousa and I drew my conclusions.

It was not necessary for me to see the POS film to post the hilarious article about how da wittle baby D'Sousa was shitting in his pants about being neglected.

My considerations are:

1-He is delusional
2-A dyed in the wool fanatic
3-Made a film panned by dozens of critics
4-Was made to appeal to fears and hopefully swing votes to R/R
6- Only those who hated Obama would find it worthwhile

Sniveling?

But meanwhile watching your head explode on every thread you are posting on. :)

So you started a thread about a film you haven't seen?

Par for the course.

Btw, you left off one fact from your list.

Highest grossing Documentary film of the year.

Hcap started this thread for the same reason you (and I) start threads - to start a conversation.

You're no fun. I anticipated the pic of Bush with the radio hosts. It's called discussion, content creation. It makes for good threads.

If you think every thread I post is supposed to be a deeply intelligent discussion just because I see boogie men in Liberal suits (Maddow?) you need to go back to your re-runs of Face the Nation and William F. Buckley interviews. How about Charlie Rose late nighters?....

With your pinpoint accuracy, you should be able to take a picture of yourself at this very moment in front of your fleet of cars, one of your many large homes, or perhaps yachting off the coast of some unknown island. Which one is it?

Or did you give all of your crystal ball money to charity?

I mean, if you're going to put me down for being wrong, at least have something to show for being right...or else it doesn't really matter now, does it SAGE?

I started this thread to satirize Dinesh, the film and you gents. No biggie. Just as many of you do to libs. I don't get these silly questions about motivation. What is the rights motivated when the chuckle that Michele Obama is fat and ugly? Prejudiced against black women maybe? I am not clear, but that been posted a few times. Care to exoplain?.

Judging by your inability to control temper tantrums, I'd say you need to find another outlet for stress.....I have. I enjoy annoying cons on PA off topic. A bonus is all the exploding heads

Btw, meditation helps when I duck the insults directed at me. I assume idiots know not what they are talking about, and I can therefore accept their stupidity as maybe a result of a severe drop on their heads when younger.

In your case probably from at least100 feet.

:lol:Oh, I'm sure it is racist in nature. Isn't every negative comment about a minority that emanates from a white man's lips racist? I believe everyone here who has uttered a negative comment about Obama has been called a racist at one time or another, because after all, Obama can do no wrong, so any negative comment must be based in racism...

Anyway, that's my story, and I'm sticking to it...you racist you...
