Those wishing to race at the upcoming Meadowlands meet must allow Jeff Gural’s employees open access to their stabling area, be it on or off-site. If you ship in from Pennsylvania for instance, they must be allowed to show up unannounced and check out your horses and facilities.

what i really love about Gural is that he has slot machines in his tracks that are making plenty of money. the racing portion of the operation are all on life support, he is trying hard to bring back the racing part. he understands what the problems are and tries to address them. he knows about gate punchers, so he shuts the betting down before someone can gain an edge. he knows about substances that enhance the performance of horses and gives the users the edge, and he is now going to war against chemical warfare.

as racing enthusiasts, we all have to love this guy fighting the system without any help from anyone else.
