Shackleford - why?
Overall, weak GR 1 race, but maybe that means a better price.
I'll go with Fast Falcon and Cease as the top two.
FF steady improvement all year on fast tracks. Cease Might regress a bit, but he has been right there last three, dittos Lunar.
I'll go for the big odds on FF withe a few back up ex's.

That's why. Shackleford - just when you think he's done, he finds more. What a horse. It was a weak G1 and he was a bet against at that price, but you have to admire the horse.
5 and 7 ran like real pigs.
Like I said, piss poor excuse of a GR 1.
I just could not bring myself to bet Shack - he just fails so often. I'll pass on horses like him every time.
Well, that was my one venture to CD outside the derby.
I won't miss that crap track one bit!:D

Shack was lone speed (as everyone but the jocks in the race saw) so 7.80 wasn't a bad price.
I didn't like Take Charge Indy at all. Good riding by Borel to intimidate Goncalves in the stretch to get 2nd.
