10 - 9 on the year; 2 - 0 Best Bets.

I really don't like a lot of the matchups. The Rams, Falcons, Bengals, and Saints all look interesting, but I will (conservatively) take the Cowboys @ -7 as my Best Bet.

2-0 just by picking teams with gold in their uniforms over teams with silver this week. ;)

Good Sunday Night game.

Leftwich can play , but he doesn't put air under the ball.
A lot of times intermediate defenders can deflect/intercept.

rooting for the steelers here :jump:

Watching that game just builds a case for Ben as MVP. Without him, they are nothing.

Leftwich is horrible. How can a 1st class team have a back up this bad ?

Denver just better hope Manning doesn't get hurt because they don't want to see Caleb Haynie.

As for the Steelers, it looked like we might see Charlie Batch last night.

yea.
Leftwich may have been playing with some injuries, but he still isn't a whole lot better than he showed.
He did end up throwing that interception too.

That "Qb value relative to their backup" might be closer to 7 pts with Roethlisberger (than 4pts).

Steelers have become a pass-happy team, and last night at least it looked like Harrison and the defense were trying to step up, and while Mendenhall isn't sharp, they have 3 backs now and were trying to block.

Ravens kind of got an ugly win. However Jacoby Jones provided a much needed spark. He's a little bit of a show boat but the Ravens play best with an edge. If they can get Ray Rice and Terrell Suggs going, that's a big improvement waiting to happen.

The line move on the Ravens was reflective of the fact the Roethlisberger value was worth more like 6 points than 4.

Valu, maybe I am missing something but the same could be said for most teams....
Take Brees out and wow, big drop off.
Take Brady out....ouch
Take Rodgers out......(who is their backup?).....
Chicago has proven without Cutler they LOSE
Not that Philly was a ton better but their backup stunk it up yesyerday....
Point is, they are backups for a reason in most cases.......
As to Ben being MVP?? Pitt has a very good running game which helped them a lot last night (even though they lost). Some of the other teams mentioned above are not so luck to have the same ground game. Thats why I think MVP for Ben is a stretch.

Just turned off the MNF game.
Too hard to take for a Bear's fan.

It's like watching a fit Mike Tyson against Vinnie Pazienza (on a bad night)

Roethlisberger won't be MVP if he misses any more games. Just can't be MVP playing in 14 or less games.

San Fran with their backup looks improved. Green Bay let Flynn start in week 17 last year and he threw 6 TD passes.

As for Brady, who is their backup, Hoyer? Remember in 2008 Brady got hurt in the 1st half of week 1. It was up to Matt Cassel, who hadn't started a game since HS. Pats still ended up winning 11 games.

Forgot about that. Guess Mallett hasn't seen much action although before the draft I remember the scouts loved his arm.
