figured I'd start a thread since I know there must be others here interested in this race like I am. Always one of my favorites every year, one of the top races in the world if you ask me.

24 are entered.
So far I'd have to say my top picks are euro invaders Mt. Athos and then Galileos Choice. After that there are many ways to go to figure tri or super tickets.

Second tier I've got Americain, Cavalryman, Maluckyday, My Quest for Peace, Lights of Heaven, Dunaden and Red Cadeaux.

of course there are plenty more who could hit the board.
who do you like?

I don't have any picks, but I do agree with your interest in this race.
I have watched it many times and it seems really exciting!!!!

You gotta love a country and people who have a national holiday during the week for a horse race.....

3 day turn around angle:
Kelinni
Zabeelionaire
Winchester

"Has run 2 miles already this year" angle:
Red Cadeaux
Cavalryman
Mount Athos
Galileo's Choice
Niwot

I'll swing for the fence with Galileo's Choice and Kelinni getting the best of Americain.

good call on Genteel
Thx - meant to put #6 Genteel, not #5.
He seemed like an easy pick...i used the speed ratings they provide in the pp's.

Nice coverage from down under. How come I get a better picture from Australia than I do from any USA based track? Kinda sad.

They do it right down there, show the horses, and they do chatter up to the gate. Seems we're afraid to do that here for some reason, at 7 or 8 mtp everyone has to shut up.

Green Moon, the old 5th off the layoff Williams off angle, works every time.

Good call on Green Moon. I liked him too:rolleyes:. My choices, 1, 2, 13 & 14 (were highest APV and average top speed for the last 3 races). I thought Hickmot, #14 trainer was a low % on GR 1wins (7%).

Next life I will come back as a horse whisperer. LOL.

good job POT on Green Moon and the others.
I did give that one a good look, but I just couldn't get off of Mt. Athos who I keyed on top and bet to win.
