Last Minute Tote Board Changes

Today at the Fair Grounds, Race 7 the favorite (8) was at 8/5 when the race went off. When it finished, the 8 was at 9/5. I guess late money guessed wrong this time :D

Yeah but he was sitting 4th at the quarter pole and third at the half mile mark. Now lets say he was sprinting clear at both calls, I wonder what he would of been bet down to. :mad:

Wow, the difference between 8/5 and 9/5 could have been one dollar. Is that the best example you can give of odds on the winner going up during a race? And the fact that it was a closer only reinforces the perception of alot of money being bet on open length leaders.
