(Reuters) - Walt Disney Co (http://www.reuters.com/article/2012/10/30/us-disney-lucas-idUSBRE89T1LL20121030)has agreed to buy filmmaker George Lucas's
Lucasfilm Ltd and the "Star Wars" franchise for $4.05 billion in cash and
stock, a blockbuster deal that adds one of the most beloved franchises in
entertainment history to Disney's lineup.
Disney said there would be a new series of "Star Wars"
feature films as part of the deal, with the first movie expected in 2015. Disney Chief Executive Bob Iger, in prepared remarks for analysts, said the plan was to release a new movie in the series every two to three years thereafter.

Announced this morning that George Lucas shall be donating most ( if not all) of the $4 Billion dollars he'll receive from the sale to various charities.
Now, that is a man of stature and principle !
I thought his gesture deserves a mention.

I salute you, Mr Lucas.
Most people are usually greedy for "more"; you are a rare man who realises that having enough money means that you don't really need the extra.
