Cnbc execs kids killed by nanny

You know what I found extremely odd about this terribly tragic story? The mother arrived home with her other child, and upon finding the apartment "dark" she went back to the lobby to ask the doorman (or whatever you call the guy in the lobby of an apartment building) if the nanny had left with her children.

Why would she do that? Why wouldn't she simply call down to the lobby if she wanted to know?

I know if I returned home to a darkened home when I expected my children and nanny to be there, the first thing I wouldn't do is head back down to the lobby to talk to whomever is there asking about the whereabouts of my nanny and children. I'd turn on the lights first and make sure nobody was home, then I'd call down or go down.

That part of the story struck me as very, very odd.

Heartbreaking seeing the pictures of the kids. What a sad story.

There has to be some kind of video leading into the building and possibly in the elevators, right?
