Big surprise from the owners after making the finals. Will not go over well with the fans seems like they were set for several years.

I really like Harden, but 55 million is a decent offer. We will miss the "beard".

If I am not mistaken, he said no over abt 4-5 million over 5 years? I will need some of the OKC experts on here to confirm my facts but I believe some of the other guys took less and I think that it says something that Harden didn't. This is a very smart organization and I would guess they knew he would leave eventually. Given that, they get a good scorer(when healthy) and a good young prospect in Lamb and two firsts and a second. The draft picks mean more to them than other teams because actually they draft well. Seems a lot better than losing Harden to free agency next year and getting nothing.

Just read the Rockets are able to sign Harden at 5 yrs/78 million which makes him wanting to leave make more sense. That being said, assuming the Thunder knew he would leave anyways, I think they did pretty well.

Well, Harden got his 80 million and for tonight at least, looked like he was worth it. 37 pts, 12 assists, 6 boards 4 steals and 4 threes.
