Yes... by more than a full magnitude. LOL

Glad I do not live in the Republic of California.

You can not possibly think that California officials thought California's debt was $28B when it was actually $335B. Page 14 of the State Budget Crisis Tax Force shows California's deficit for 2012-2013 at $28B. Page 30 shows a debt of $372B. The figures refer to two different things. Regardless of how he phrased it, Brown was obviously referring to the deficit not the debt. Finances may not be great in California, but they are not ten times worse than previously thought.

THe SBCTF report also gives some reasons for the current state of finances in California. Let me just say that you will not be pleased with their conclusions.

So, the fact is you don't hold him accountable for what he said, and you don't care that everybody in California who isn't a political nerd doesn't know the difference? The wholesale use of deceptive phrasing is ok with you?

Of course it is.

In JR's original post click on this.
http://beforeitsnews.com/opinion-co...on-2488576.html

Then find this in the second paragraph.
State Budget Crisis Tax Force. Click on it and there you are.

OK, it seems when I click on the first link here it doesn't work, but it does work in JR's post.

Yeah...and let me guess: The first 10 reasons are that the rich aren't paying their fair share of taxes.

Slight correction to that, it is more correctly the "Peoples Socialist Republic of Mexifornia", or if your prefer a shorter name, just Komiefornia. This is the state that flys the Hammer & Sickle, not the Stars & Stripes. In the past, myself and a few others have posted links that detail California's woes, and I could post at least a dozen more. Study after study and survey after survey have examined it's problems in great depth, and in virtually every ranking of the states California lands in the bottom five or even dead last. About the only areas in which it ranks highly is in weather and recreation. In spite of the overwhelming evidence of impending disaster, the far left politicians and the state's liberals still insist that everthing is still just fine. In the meantime, it's most productive citizens, the non Hispanic whites, have fled the state in droves or are planning to do so, taking their wealth, tax base, and job skills with them. Still the leftist politicians insist that if we just raise taxes a bit more everything will be fine. California is the shining example of the utter failure of Liberalism.
