Wow, Palone really got tossed to his right when the horses collided. I hope he has a speedy recovery.

I was a frequent visitor to The Meadows when I lived nearby from 1998 to 2002. Dave was always very friendly and personable and would chat with fans to/from the paddock all the time.

Wow, that's about as bad as it gets, a front end horse breaking down right at the top of the stretch.

Hopefully, the injuries aren't too serious.

i was there. saw it live....scary. all the crowd made that sound when something bad happens. he went to AGH hospital. good place. made local news also.

I watched the replay of that race today, and yikes!, it was very scary business, I'd say...

On another day, the outcome may not have been so nice....

It was good to see Palone and Wilder back in the bikes today....In fact Wilder was doing ok with his drives....Palone not so well, but, he was in there swinging at least.....

Bet both are a bit sore today....Haha, lameness isn't always just for the hosses...

I too saw the results for today and was surprised to see Palone's name, but that has to be a mistake...

Yeah Ray, it seemed there was a bit of an anomaly of a sort, in that, in the first race Palone,in the results, was listed as the second place finisher, and yet he failed to hit the board in any other event....Or so it seemed to me...Tho I wasn't witnessing any live racing due to other projects that took precedence today....

You are probably right about that "Exacta Boy".... BTW, Nice Spread on that exacta thing, Ray...
